Persons Projects is proud to present Kristjan Gusmundsson’s solo exhibition, Mostly Drawings. A key figure in Icelandic conceptual art since the mid-1960s, he challenged traditional Icelandic interpretations of art through his minimal sculptures and wall compositions. This exhibition combines older works with newly created pieces which reexamine his minimal approach, reducing the idea of a drawing to its essential components. Using basic materials such as graphite rods and paper rolls in their pure, unaltered forms, he redefines the concept of drawing with poetic minimalism.
